Vernon Kay presents the series in which eight celebrities - rapper Professor Green, singer Ella Eyre, former X Factor judge Louis Walsh, actor and comedian Johnny Vegas, Olympic athlete Colin Jackson, TV presenter Mariella Frostrup, weather expert Laura Tobin and actor and broadcaster Angus Deayton - take part in a series of motorsport challenges. In this episode, Johnny Vegas, Mariella Frostrup and Ella Eyre have to contend with the most extreme cars so far, all-terrain 4x4s. Featuring full throttle head-to-head racing, as well as a deep water course with an explosive twist, the stars have to work together to make it to the finish line. The bottom two then face a fight for survival in the Night Race.

"Drive" is hosted by Vernon Kay with UK racing legend and double British Touring Car Champion, Jason Plato, on hand with his expert advice. This high-octane driving competition sees celebrities take to the driving seats of old bangers, buggies, 4x4s and rally cross cars among others. As they get into pole position, we will see who has what it takes in a host of unexpected and action packed driving challenges. The celebrities with the slowest time in each challenge will battle it out in a Night Race to see who will remain in the competition. And those that remain by the Final will burn up the tracks in a F4 car in a bid to be crowned the Drive Champion.
Season 1, Episode 1
In the first race of the series to determine who goes straight through to the following week's show the eight celebrities are split into two groups. Each group of four have to race against each other in their banger cars completing 10 laps around the track. But it's not just each other that they are up against… Four menacing ‘Wreckers' will also be joining the race with the sole purpose of wreaking havoc. The winner from each of these groups will automatically go through to next week's driving challenge, leaving the other remaining six celebrities to battle it out and compete in a second banger race.
